Whats On in Malta March 2012
In Guardia & Alarme Re-Enactments Both of these events are held periodically throughout the year and both are held at Fort St. Elmo in Malta's capital city Valletta. The In Guardia parade in March will be held on the 4th, 11th and 25th. While the Alarme re-enactment is going to be held on the 18th of March. These two events are not to be missed if you're an avid military fan or you'd like to learn more about Malta's rich history! Freedom Day Celebrations - 31st March 2012 On 31st March 1979 the last of the British forces left the Maltese Islands. This day is known and celebrated as Freedom Day and is one of the five national holidays in Malta and Gozo. Most of the activities on this day take place in Vittoriosa where a beautiful monument marks this important event in the history of Malta.
