Mellieha Nights: From the 10th till the 12th of September 2010 In its third year running, this 3-day event is a fun event for all the family which includes traditional food, culture, history and family entertainment. Popular with both locals and visitors, entrance to Mellieha Nights is free of charge. For more information, contact the Mellieha Local Council at mellieha.lc@gov.mt The Qala International Folk Festival: From the 22nd till the 27th of September 2010 The highlight of this folk festival is the Menhir Qala Folk Group. Various other local and foreign folk groups will also participate. Location: Qala, Gozo For more information on this folk festival, contact the Qala Local Council at qala.lc@gov.mt Zejt iz-Zejtun (The Olive Oil Event) – 25th and 26th of September 2010 An interesting 2 day event that celebrates the olive picking season and olive pressing for oil. Held at the village of Zejtun (in the Southern part of Malta) this yearly event has been gaining popularity among locals and visitors alike. For more information and details on this event, contact the Zejtun Local Council at zejtun.lc@gov.mt In Guardia - 26th of September 2010 The In Guardia Parade is a historical re-enactment portraying historical events that used to took place at Fort St. Elmo. What you can expect to see: some 70 re-enactors dressed in impressive uniforms from the Knights of St John period, re-enacting interesting events. Starts at 11.00am (some 40 minutes long). In Guardia is held periodically at Fort St. Elmo - Valletta. Tickets at the gate (Adults: Euro 5 Children and Students: Euro 3).
