Whats On in Malta in February 2010

Chinese Spring Festival: 8th and 9th February 2010

If you’re in Malta during the second week of February, you should not miss this spectacular Chinese festival.

For the 4th year running, the Chinese Spring Festival in Valletta, Malta’s capital city is a celebration of Chinese culture and art. Prestigious Chinese dance and acrobatic groups will be taking part in this year’s festival.

The festival kicks off on the 8th of February at 10.30am from St George’s Square in Valletta. A fancy parade will then pass through Republic Street, Merchants Street and the Upper Barrakka Garden. If you like dazzling Chinese costumes and dancing then this is a definite must see event for you.

On the 9th of February a spectacular martial arts, acrobatics and classical dance show will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

Cultural Event San Gwann – 14th of February 2010

An interesting cultural event is being organized in San Gwann. This event focuses on many Maltese traditions and customs, the main focus being Carnival.

Landrover Malta Marathon 2010 – 28th of February 2010

This highly popular yearly marathon is in its 25th edition. Some 800 athletes are expected to participate. Participants can choose from running the full marathon or the half marathon. Races start from Mdina Gate and finish in Sliema.
