Visiting the Maltese islands soon and want to know the visa requirements for Malta?

You’ve come to the right place.

As with all countries, some nationals need to have a visa to be able to visit Malta.

If you indeed do need a visa, make sure that you apply for it well in advance of traveling to Malta, since some visas may take weeks to get processed.

Visa Requirements for Malta: Do you need a visa?

If you are a European Union national, you do not need a visa if you’re staying in Malta for up to 3 months.

Same goes for nationals of the following countries:

Note: Chinese nationals who hold the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Identification do not require a visa.

If you are not a national of the above countries, then you will require a visa if you’re visiting Malta.

Visa Application for Malta: How do you apply for a visa?

You can apply for a visa by contacting the Maltese Embassy in your country of residence. Alternatively, you can also apply at the embassy of an EU member state where Malta has a representation agreement.
