My first dive ever was in Malta!

I dived for the first time in July 2007. I was on vacation in Malta and decided to go for it! I had been hearing from my friends how awesome diving is but never got round to doing it.

I came to Malta with two friends and as soon as they saw the beaches in Malta they wanted to go diving. They had dived before.

I decided to go for it because it was such a beautiful day that day and the sea was crystal clear. Our instructor was very friendly and made sure that we understood everything he said. He told us that at first we would just be thought how to breath with the tanks. The water was very shallow so it was very safe.

Then the instructor took us to slightly deeper waters. It was awesome! It was so peaceful down there. I saw some little fish. Don’t think I could have handled big fish back then :)

I am not a qualified diver or anything but I now make it a point to go diving if I can, whenever I’m on vacation.

Diving in Malta was an unforgettable experience for me and I highly recommend it, even for beginners/amateurs like me.

I believe that the nice weather together with the sandy beaches who look more "friendly" for the beginner, is what makes diving in Malta so appealing to people who have never dived before.
