Malta climate in September is still warm, hot even most of the time so if you’re traveling to Malta at this time of year, do not pack any winter clothes. It’s definitely not required. On most days it’s still perfect weather for the beach. The most popular family beaches, especially during the week, will start becoming less crowded since towards the end of September the kids start going to school again. Usually in the last week of September, temperature starts dropping slightly and this type of weather can be perfect for sightseeing. On the whole September is quite a pleasant month to visit Malta. You won’t experience any biting winds or snow, and when it rains, it’s usually for very short periods.
