Resort Malta Saint Julians

This Resort Malta Saint Julians page focuses on San Giljan (or St Julians as it’s called in English).

St Julians is a cosmopolitan town north of Sliema.

Originally a fishing village, it was later transformed into a summer residence area for wealthy Maltese.

Over the past couple of decades, it has been developed to cater both for locals and tourists alike.

Paceville is the heart of Saint Julians.

Ask any local where the best nightlife in Malta is, and he or she will invariably tell you that it’s in Paceville.

Paceville is in fact the hub of entertainment in Malta and is choc-a-block with nightclubs, discos, restaurants, bars, pubs and cinemas.

This is the one town in Malta that truly never sleeps, especially on weekends.

During the day, it’s almost like a ghost town. But when the evening comes, the whole place comes to life.

The beaches in Saint Julians are mostly rocky or of the private lido variety. However there are two sandy beaches, namely St. George’s Bay and Balluta Bay.

St. George's Bay is the most popular from the two and you will find that it is often quite crowded.

This highly popular resort town, takes its name from the Patron Saint of hunters, San Giljan.

Accommodation in St Julians

Accommodation in St Julians is plentiful and ranges from lavish 5 star hotels, to self-catering apartments and guest houses.

Stay away from accommodation that is right at the heart of Paceville if you fancy a quiet location.

If you’re after peace and quiet, then most areas of St Julians are very pleasant and if you want to sample the nightlife too, you’ll only be a stone’s throw away from the best entertainment venues on the Maltese islands!
