Malta Holiday Resort : Xemxija
A low profile Malta holiday resort that is just a stone’s throw away from the best beaches in Malta ... Located in the northern part of Malta, Xemxija is a small seaside village next to St. Paul's Bay.
It is also close to Bugibba, one of the island’s main resorts.

If you’d like to stay in a seaside resort but do not want to stay in a hectic one, then Xemxija could be your best choice. While still close to all amenities, Xemxija is a lot quieter than Bugibba or Qawra. If after a long day of sightseeing, you just want to relax and chill, then this resort town also has a few restaurants and bars.
 Tiny sandy beach at Xemxija
Perhaps Xemxija’s strongest point is the fact that it is the gateway to the best beaches in Malta. In fact, it’s only some 15 minutes away (by car) from
Mellieha Bay,
Golden Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha Bay. You can also make use of the private lidos along the waterfront of Xemxija, which by the way takes its name from xemx, meaning sun in Maltese.

If you feel like exploring the area in more detail, you can also take the Xemxija Heritage Trail. On this interesting walk, you will come across several caves, roman baths, a 1000 year old carob tree, a punic tomb, a neolithic temple, cart ruts and many other fascinating things. The sites on the trail span a period of 6000 years!
Feeling peckish? Stop by at a Xemxija grocery store for some goodies!
