The Maltese Islands celebrate Christmas in a huge way and you can see and feel the Christmas spirit in practically all locations.
However this Christmas, Malta’s capital city Valletta is going to be stealing the show with its Christmas activities and celebrations. St. George’s Square in Valletta has been recently renovated and was opened again for the public on the 7th of December 2009. So if you’re visiting Malta during the Christmas time, make sure to head to Valletta at some point. Thinking of visiting Gozo this Christmas?Why not go to Ghajnsielem to visit the Nativity Village and immerse yourself into the Christmas spirit?Spread over a huge piece of land near the main square in Ghajnsielem, this live Nativity Village is sure to warm your heart. A number of volunteers have come together and re-created typical scenes of Bethlehem. See carpenters and blacksmiths at work, go to a typical market and gaze in awe at the main grotto with Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus.
