Our "I love Malta" contest is officially CLOSED!

Now, it’s time for us to choose the TOP 5 STORIES.

We shall be going through ALL eligible entries that we’ve received and we’ll be picking the top 5 finalists within the next 7 days.

We’ll send an email to each of the finalists informing them that they’re in the final for the chance to win 250 Euros in CASH! We’ll announce the TOP 5 FINALISTS on this page and on our Facebook page.

What the contest was about ...

We all love sharing our travel stories ... We asked you to share your Malta travel story with our readers and you'd stand the chance to win 250 Euros in CASH! (or the equivalent of that in the currency of your choice).

We asked you to tell us what you liked most about your Malta holidays and which places you visited. Perhaps you're a frequent visitor to the islands ... What made you want to go back to Malta? Perhaps you had a funny incident or tips that you wanted to share with our readers ...

For our first contest we left things open, so you could focus on any part of your Malta holidays. It didn't matter when you visited the Maltese Islands, could have been last month, 10 years ago or more!

Closing Date for Submissions was the 8th July 2011, 11:59 PM (Malta time).

Judging Criteria and Selection of Winner

After the closing date of the contest, we will go through all eligible entries and select the TOP 5 Malta travel stories. When choosing the TOP 5, we will be looking for originality, relevance and creativity of the story and photos.

After we choose the five finalists, visitors to our website will then be given the chance to choose the WINNER from these five entries by commenting on the story. The entry that gets the most comments wins!

Here are ALL the eligible entries that we've received for our contest ...

Important Updates

30 May 2011: Some contest entries are already receiving comments and feedback from our website visitors.

However, as already explained in the Judging Criteria and Selection of Winner section above, these comments WILL NOT count towards getting them in the Top 5 Finalists. Only we will choose the Top 5. After that, an announcement will be posted here and on our Facebook Page, asking people to vote and select the winner, by commenting on their favourite story

In addition, we've noticed that some of the comments received were duplicates i.e. multiple comments from the same IP address. Since this a contest, we need to keep things fair, so we have deleted the duplicate comments and we will continue to do so. Only 1 comment per IP address is allowed.
