I dived the Um El Faroud!

My best wreck dive to date! I did this dive two years ago. I was in Malta for 5 days. I highly recommend this dive to anyone who likes wreck diving.

When we dived the Um El Faroud the visibility was simply fantastic! The wreck itself is very exciting to explore. It was my first time diving on such a huge wreck. I loved it!

In my opinion, it’s better if you go on the site with a boat. If you swim to the wreck it takes too much time, time you can spend diving and exploring the Um El Faroud :)

We saw lots of silver fish and a barracuda!

This was not an easy dive but I think it’s a must if you’re a skilled wreck diver.

A friend of mine has dived the Um El Faroud twice! He said that even with two dives he didn’t quite explore all of the ship!

I’m visiting Malta again in July. Can’t wait :)

The Um El Faroud is one of the most popular dive sites on the Maltese islands, but like you say it's not an easy dive.

The great visibility is something that a lot of foreign divers comment on.
