Golf in Malta at the Royal Malta Golf Club

Golf in Malta has been around since the early 1900s.

If you’re a keen golfer, then a visit to the Royal Malta Golf Club is a must. It’s the only golf course on the Maltese islands and is not too far away from the airport.

Golf in Malta

Many visitors to Malta incorporate a day at the golf course in their vacation.

The island’s small size is ideal, since after a day on the green you can easily make your way to a nearby beach or perhaps dine out in one of the many exquisite restaurants on the Maltese islands.

The mild Mediterranean climate also makes the Royal Malta Golf Club an ideal alternative for off-season golfing breaks. Malta is very well connected with the rest of Europe and it’s only a few hours away (by plane) from central Europe.

The Royal Malta Golf Club

The club was established in 1888, which makes it one of the oldest golf clubs outside of the UK!

It’s located next to the Marsa Sports Club in Marsa and over the years have seen many changes.

Nowadays at par 68, the Royal Malta golf course is a good test of golf without being too unkind to the novice.

The club offers 3 green fees packages. Multiple rounds are discounted.

It is recommended that you book in advance. Golfing equipment is also available for hire at the club.

If you’d like to get an idea of the club’s golfing fees, go to their fees/equipment rental page here.

If you’re new to golf or want to improve your handicap, there’s always a PGA qualified instructor who’s there to assist and guide you in any possible way.

The club also has a restaurant and a well equipped Pro Shop.

Appropriate golf attire is required.

You can contact the Royal Malta Golf Club on Tel. No. ++356 21227019 or email them at info@royalmaltagolfclub.com.
