Pebble Beaches in Gozo: Dahlet Qorrot Bay

dahlet qorrot

Dahlet Qorrot Bay can be reached from the village of Nadur on the island of Gozo.

The bay is essentially a small pebble Gozo beach which is sheltered in the northern cliffs of Gozo.

You can either swim in the bay or else head to the rocks.

The waters are usually very clear. The bay is perfect if you’re just starting out exploring the underwater world and it’s thus a popular spot with snorkelers and also scuba divers.

This tiny bay is used by a number of Gozitan fisherman.

In fact, some of the caves in the rocks where turned into small boat houses where these fishermen store their fishing equipment, tools and boats.

If you’re lucky, you may get the chance to encounter some of them doing maintenance work on their fishing nets and traditional Maltese fishing boats.

This “hidden” cove is quite picturesque.

Facilities here are minimal with just a snack bar which is only open in the summer.

If you’re going to Gozo island in winter, then this bay can be one of the most tranquil beaches in Gozo.

Perfect for some quiet reading and relaxing time, while watching the beautiful sea and surrounding landscape.

In winter, the whole island is perfect if you want to escape the crowds and simply relax and wash away all your worries.

Many Maltese people in fact cross over to Gozo for short weekend breaks. Gozo island can really rejuvenate you!

Dahlet Qorrot Bay: Getting there

There’s no public transport to the bay.

You can get there by car from Nadur Gozo. Usually, there’s plenty of parking space, so parking here is not a problem.
